Our doctors, nurses, and staff entered the medical field to help people, both those in our community and any others who reach our clinic doors. The care that we provide looks different for everyone, and we are always adapting to meet the needs of those we serve. As our communities navigate COVID-19, we continue to be ready to treat our patients and to provide accurate and up-to-date information about this virus.

What is the treatment for COVID-19?

COVID-19 is a virus and therefore there is no medication that you can take in order to directly treat the illness. Some people may need supportive care to help them breathe. If we encounter a patient with COVID-19 who is not having breathing difficulties, we send them home with symptomatic care, which would involve orders to rest, to drink plenty of fluids, to self-quarantine, and to call a local emergency room if they begin to have difficulty breathing.

Is COVID-19 testing available?

Yes. We offer both standard nasal swab testing and antibody testing. COVID-19 testing is a nasal swab test that will identify if the patient currently has the COVID-19 virus. COVID-19 antibody testing is a blood test that will identify if the patient has developed antibodies against the COVID-19 virus. Click here to learn more about COVID testing. Both types of testing are done by appointment only. You may sign up for an appointment time on our website.

What is the cost of a COVID test?

In most cases, both types of COVID testing (and any necessary appointments and procedures) are completely covered by insurance. This means that insurance covers 100% of the cost of your visit and test, regardless of usual copays or deductible. We recommend contacting your insurance company if you have any questions about coverage.

If you don’t have medical insurance, the government offers free medical coverage for COVID related illnesses, including COVID testing. We can sign patients up at the clinic if they are interested in this service.

The cash pay rate is $99 for the antibody test and $130 for the nasal swab (not including the cost of an exam or any necessary procedures).

How long will it take to get my COVID test results?

It usually takes between three and five business days to get results back from the lab. In some cases, it may take longer.

After our clinic receives these results, we have been calling patients to communicate them. We have been working diligently to do so as quickly as possible but are also administering hundreds of tests each week. We have hired additional staff members to help with this task.

Starting this week, you will have the option to sign-up at the time of testing to receive your results via email. Patients who do so will be able to log on and receive their results directly from the lab.

I received my COVID test results. Now what?

We have set up a new page on our website that includes frequently asked questions related to post-COVID testing. This page can be accessed here: https://integrityuc.com/covid-results

What if I need to be seen by a provider for a non-COVID-related reason?

We are here for you! Our clinic and team is committed to treating patients of all types. There are still broken bones to be mended, upper respiratory and ear infections that need antibiotics, and runny noses that need observation. If we were to shift these patients to an ER at this time, we would be doing them and the health care industry a disservice, exposing patients to other illnesses and overwhelming the hospitals further.

We had to put our virtual visits on hold for now as all of our medical providers are working tirelessly to meet the unprecedented demands of our communities in the current COVID pandemic.  We are so sorry for the inconvenience this may cause!

How is Integrity Urgent Care responding to account for the rise in COVID cases?

The number of tests we are administering each day has increased dramatically in recent weeks as well as the number of calls our clinics have received. In order to handle our high call volume, we have switched to a semi-automated phone answering system. Any messages left will be answered as soon as possible.

We have created a new flow at each clinic that allows us to keep patients with COVID related illnesses separate from other patients. This may include car visits or a completely different section of the clinic being used.

All patients are screened for COVID symptoms before being checked-in. If they do have any symptoms consistent with COVID, they will be treated in a separate area away from our general patient population.

Every member of our team is screened before and after each shift for COVID symptoms including mandatory temperature checks.

We have increased the frequency of our cleaning schedules to ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients.

We remain steadfast in providing that care for the communities we serve. We are honored to be trusted with such an important and vital task. Each of our area clinics is open from 8 am to 8 pm, every day of the week.
